Preserving our Space History and Promoting our Space Future!
Welcome to one of the most unique exhibit experiences in California!
The W Foundation is proud to be a sponsor of:
The Navy in Space Exhibit
Fort Mason Center, Building D
October 11 & 12, 9am - 5pm
You are going to see artifacts that have made the long journey to the moon and back, and photographs that have been inscribed by the astronauts themselves in order to tell their stories about adventures in outer space.
The exhibit is divided into three parts:
Section 1 (Right Side) “America’s Quest for the Moon”: shows how America reached the moon.
Section 2 (Back Area) “The Russians, First into Space”: displays the achievements of America’s former adversary, now partner in space.
Section 3 (Left Side) “Exploring Space Today”: shows present space exploration activities involving the International Space Station, the Space Shuttle and California’s role in our nation’s space exploration efforts.
